Removal [06/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - 10/2020]

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [08/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [03/2020 - 10/2020]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 BRAKE TUBE CLAMP BRACKET 

    See step  2

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [06/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2019 - 03/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [03/2020 - 10/2020]

  5. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR WITH EDU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the cam timing control motor with EDU assembly connector.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and cam timing control motor with EDU assembly from the No. 2 timing gear cover assembly.
      NOTE:

      If the cam timing control motor with EDU assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  6. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR O-RING 
    1. Remove the cam timing control motor O-ring from the No. 2 timing gear cover assembly.
