Steering Angle Sensor Communication Stop Mode [03/2017 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (STEERING SENSOR BRANCH LINE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the K71 steering sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

(to Steering Sensor) - Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition K71-4 (BAT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V K71-9 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V Result
