Installation [02/2017 - ]: Procedure

1. Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

   Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

2. Using a 22 mm ball joint lock nut wrench, install the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) to the ventilation case.

   Specified tightening torque 

   Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

   NOTE:

   Do not start the engine for at least 1 hour after installation.

   HINT: 

   • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

     Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PRECAUTION [05/2018 - ]

   • When using a 22 mm ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 149.75 mm (5.9 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.4 in.)): 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

1. Connect the ventilation hose to the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly) and slide the clip to secure it.
