Removal [02/2017 - 08/2020]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to PRECAUTION [05/2018 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [05/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2019 - 08/2020]

  3. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the terminal cap from the generator assembly.

    2. Remove the nut to disconnect the engine wire from terminal B.
    3. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.
    4. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket.
    5. Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly.

    6. Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the generator assembly.
