DTC B2439: Headlamp LH Circuit; DTC B243A: Headlamp RH Circuit [10/2017 - 09/2019]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2017 - 09/2019]

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Operate the light control switch to turn on the low beam headlights.
    3. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2017 - 09/2019]

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B2439 and B243A are not output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to

      NG (DTC B2439 is output) B
      NG (DTC B243A is output) C

    Result:

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2017 - 05/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [05/2018 - 09/2019]

  3. REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Replace the headlight unit assembly LH with a new or known good one.
      1. for Halogen Headlight: Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 09/2019]
      2. for LED Headlight: Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 09/2019]

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2017 - 09/2019]

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Operate the light control switch to turn on the low beam headlights.

      DTC B2439 is not output.

    END (HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH WAS DEFECTIVE)

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - 09/2019] 

  6. REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Replace the headlight unit assembly RH with a new or known good one.
      1. for Halogen Headlight: Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 09/2019]
      2. for LED Headlight: Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 09/2019]
