DTC C1AA2: Vehicle Speed Tolerance Malfunction [02/2017 - 08/2020]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION) 
    1. Perform On-vehicle Inspection of the meter/gauge system.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [02/2017 - 10/2017] , or refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [10/2017 - 05/2018] , or refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [05/2018 - 09/2019] , or refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [09/2019 - ]

      HINT: 

      Check the meter function by referring to On-vehicle Inspection for the combination meter assembly.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Combination meter assembly is normal A
      Combination meter assembly is malfunctioning B

    Result: 

    CHECK METER / GAUGE SYSTEM (SPEEDOMETER MALFUNCTION). Refer to  Speedometer Malfunction [02/2017 - 10/2017]  , or refer to  Speedometer Malfunction [10/2017 - ]

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2017 - 08/2020]

      Chassis > LKA/LDA > Clear DTCs 

    6. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.

      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait 1 minute or more.
      2. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.
    7. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2017 - 08/2020]

      Chassis > LKA/LDA > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1AA2 is output A
      DTC C1AA2 is not output B

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [02/2017 - 10/2017]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2017 - 05/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [05/2018 - 09/2019]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2019 - 08/2020] 

    Result:

  3. REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA 
    1. Replace the forward recognition camera.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2017 - 08/2020]

    2. Adjust the forward recognition camera.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT (SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION) [02/2017 - 08/2020]

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
