1. Using SST to hold the crankshaft pulley, loosen the crankshaft pulley set bolt. Further loosen the crankshaft pulley set bolt until 2 or 3 threads remain screwed into the crankshaft.

   • SST: 09330-00021 
2. Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley and crankshaft pulley set bolt. Further loosen the bolt until 2 or 3 threads are screwed into the crankshaft.

   HINT: 

   Apply lubricant to the threads and end of SST.

1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the timing chain cover oil seal.

   NOTE:

   After removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.

   HINT: 

   Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
