Removal [09/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 hood bumper cushions.

    2. Remove the 4 clips.
    3. Disengage the claws and guides to remove the radiator cover as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  2. SEPARATE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Apply protective tape around the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.

    2. Remove the 3 screws.
    3. Remove the 2 clips.
    4. Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.

      *a 90 deg
    5. Pull back the edge of the front fender liner LH and disengage the claws by pushing the area indicated by the arrow in the illustration with a finger.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
      NOTE:
      • Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the front fender liner LH.
      • To avoid damaging the claws, do not forcibly pull the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.
    6. Disengage the clips and disconnect the front fender moulding sub-assembly LH.
  3. SEPARATE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply protective tape around the front bumper assembly.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. Remove the 6 screws.

    4. Disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    5. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:

      1. Disconnect the connector A.
    6. w/ Wire Harness:
      1. Disconnect the connector B.
    7. Disengage the claws to remove the front bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.
