High Beam Headlight Circuit [09/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (HEAD LIGHT HI) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
    5. Check that the high beam headlights illuminate.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Head Light Hi High beam headlights ON or OFF -

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

      Head Light Hi

      OK

      The high beam headlights illuminate.

      Result

  2. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2019 - ]

  3. CHECK OPERATION (HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHT) 
    1. Check that the high beam headlight operates normally.

      OK

      High beam headlight operates normally.

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [09/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [09/2019 - ] 

  4. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2019 - ]

      Result

  5. CHECK OPERATION (HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHT) 
    1. Check that the high beam headlight operates normally.
