Washer Fluid Level Warning Switch Circuit [02/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the level warning switch assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2017 - ]

    2. Inspect the level warning switch assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2017 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK 

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LEVEL WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F4 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the chart below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A26-1 (S) - F4-17 (WLVL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A26-1 (S) or F4-17 (WLVL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A26-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2017 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
