Removal [08/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2018 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    for A25A-FXS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    for 2GR-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    for A25A-FKS:

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM POCKET COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR VENT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  18. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 

    See step  5

  19. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 47

  20. REMOVE NO. 2 BLACK OUT TAPE 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 2 black out tape, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 black out tape using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    Item Temperature
    No. 2 Black Out Tape and Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.

    1. Using a heat light, heat the No. 2 black out tape and vehicle body.
    2. Pull back on one of the ends of the No. 2 black out tape to remove it.

      HINT: 

      When pulling on the No. 2 black out tape, pull it parallel to the vehicle body.

  21. REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE 

    HINT: 

    When removing the No. 1 black out tape, heat the vehicle body and No. 1 black out tape using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE
