Disassembly [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. REMOVE FOG LIGHT SEAL (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
    1. Remove the 5 fog light seals.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
  7. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the reflex reflector assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction (2)
  8. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER COVER (except TRD) 
    1. Remove the 2 clips (A) and 4 clips (B).

    2. Disengage the 14 claws and 2 guides to remove the lower rear bumper cover.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for TRD) 
    1. Remove the 2 clips (A) and 4 clips (B).

    2. Remove the 6 screws.

    3. Separate the double-sided tape.

      Double-sided Tape - -
    4. Disengage the 10 claws and 2 guides to remove the No. 1 rear spoiler sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    3. Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disengage the guide to remove the rear bumper side retainer LH.
  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. REMOVE BAGGAGE HOLDER NET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  16. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  17. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM PAD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  18. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2021 - ]

  19. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER RH 

    for Gasoline Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

    for HV Model: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  20. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  21. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH 
    1. Remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

    2. Remove the screw and rear bumper upper retainer LH.

  22. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH

  25. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear bumper energy absorber as shown in the illustration.

  26. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 
    1. Remove the 6 bolts and rear bumper reinforcement.
