Rear Television Camera Communication Stop Mode [04/2018 -]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle type.

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the P7 television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P7-4 (CANH) - P7-1 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P7-5 (CGND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P7-6 (CB+) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2018 -]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the P19 television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P19-4 (CANH) - P19-1 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
