NOTE:

Before proceeding with the inspection, explain to the customer that the output DTC is related to temporary loss of the steering angle zero point calibration, such as when the power voltage drops when the battery is removed, and confirm that this condition occurred.
When replacing the steering angle sensor (spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly), confirm that the replacement part is of the correct specification.

HINT:

When DTC U0073, U0123, U0124 and/or U0126 is output together with DTC C1439 and/or C1445, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by DTC U0073, U0123, U0124 and/or U0126 first (Refer to DTC U0073: Control Module Communication Bus OFF; DTC U0100: Lost Communication with ECM / PCM; DTC U0123: Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module; DTC U0124: Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module; DTC U0126: Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).
When any of the speed sensors or the yaw rate and acceleration sensor has trouble, DTCs for the steering angle sensor (spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly) may be stored even when the steering angle sensor (spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly) is normal. When DTCs for the speed sensors or yaw rate and acceleration sensor are output together with DTCs for the steering angle sensor (spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly), inspect and repair the speed sensor and yaw rate and acceleration sensor first, and then inspect and repair the steering angle sensor (spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly).
