DTC C1436: Yaw Rate Sensor Malfunction [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ] ).

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - ]

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4. Turn the Techstream on.
5. Select the Data List mode on the Techstream (Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [08/2019 - ] ).

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor is installed properly (Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - ] ).

   OK

   The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.

   The sensor is not installed at an angle.

Result:

REPLACE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] 

Result: 

NG 

INSTALL AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [08/2015 - ]
