DTC C1420: Acceleration Sensor Malfunction [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2019 - ] ).

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2019 - ]

1. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (air bag sensor assembly) is installed properly (Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - ] ).

   OK

   The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.

   The sensor is not installed at an angle.

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] 

Result: 

NG 

INSTALL AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [08/2015 - ]
