NOTE:

When installing the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly and steering wheel, be sure to adjust the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly as it may break if the steering wheel is turned before adjusting the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly.

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

After replacing the airbag ECU assembly, refer to initialization.

HINT:

To perform the simulation method, enter check mode (signal check) with the Techstream (Refer to CHECK MODE PROCEDURE [11/2018 - 08/2020] ), and then wiggle each connector of the airbag system or drive the vehicle on various types of road (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ] ).
