Front Power Seat does not Operate with Front Power Seat Switch [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT OPERATION 
    1. Check that each function of the power seat operates normally by using the front power seat switch LH.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2018 - 12/2021] , or refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2021 - ]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      All power seat functions do not operate A
      One or more power seat functions do not operate B

    Result: 

    GO TO OTHER DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE (One or more Power Seat Motors do not Operate). Refer to  One or more Power Seat Motors do not Operate [11/2018 - ]  

    Result:

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the position control ECU assembly connectors.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Position Control ECU Assembly)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      T7-3 (+B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      T8-15 (SYSB) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      T8-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      T8-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Remove the front power seat switch LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    2. Inspect the front power seat switch LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - 12/2021] , or refer to INSPECTION [12/2021 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the T14 front power seat switch LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the T8 position control ECU assembly connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T14-20 (E) - T8-12 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
