Replacement [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY 
  2. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [06/2020 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SIDE OIL SEAL 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the differential side oil seal from the transaxle housing.

      *a Protective Tape
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front differential case or transaxle housing.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH 
    1. Using SST, remove the front drive shaft oil seal RH from the front differential case.

      • SST: 09308-00010 
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the front differential case.

  5. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH 
    1. Coat the lip of a new front drive shaft oil seal RH with MP grease.

      *a Depth
    2. Using SST and a hammer, install the front drive shaft oil seal RH to the front differential case.
      • SST: 09950-60011 
        1. 09951-00410
      • SST: 09950-70010 
        1. 09951-07200

      Standard Depth

      21.5 to 22.5 mm (0.846 to 0.886 in.)

      NOTE:
      • Make sure to install the front drive shaft oil seal RH as specified, otherwise malfunctions such as a fluid leak will occur.
      • Do not damage the lip of the front drive shaft oil seal RH.
      • Do not remove the grease from the lip of the front drive shaft oil seal RH.
  6. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL SIDE OIL SEAL 
    1. Coat the lip of a new differential side oil seal with MP grease.
    2. Using SST and a hammer, install the differential side oil seal to the transaxle housing.

      *a Depth
      • SST: 09649-17010 
      • SST: 09950-70010 
        1. 09951-07200

      Standard Depth

      5.5 to 6.5 mm (0.217 to 0.256 in.)

      NOTE:
      • Make sure to install the differential side oil seal as specified, otherwise malfunctions such as a fluid leak will occur.
      • Do not damage the lip of the differential side oil seal.
      • Do not install the differential side oil seal at an angle.
      • Do not remove the grease from the lip of the differential side oil seal.
  7. INSTALL DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 [11/2018 - 06/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 [06/2020 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 [12/2021 - ]

  8. INSTALL TRANSFER ASSEMBLY
