Removal [08/2020 - 12/2021]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions and same capacity or more from the same class at a 20-hour rate.
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
- REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD
- REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER
- Detach the 12 claws and remove the battery hole cover.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
- Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2020 - 12/2021]
- Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY
- Open the connector cover.
- Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Disconnect the battery hose from the auxiliary battery.
- Remove the bolt, nut and battery clamp sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the auxiliary battery.
- w/ No. 1 Battery Spacer:
Remove the No. 1 battery spacer.
- Open the connector cover.
