Distance Control Switch Circuit [11/2018 - 02/2019]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise2 / Data List.
5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

   Powertrain > Radar Cruise2 > Data List

   The value of the Data List item changes according to the operation of the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control switch.

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2018 - 06/2020]

1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]

2. Inspect the steering pad switch assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - 08/2020]

REPLACE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]

1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]

2. Inspect the spiral cable sub-assembly.

   Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - 08/2020]

REPLACE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019]

1. Disconnect the G20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the P8 forward recognition camera connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G20-6 (DIST) - P8-3 (LKSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G20-2 (ECC) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G20-6 (DIST) or P8-3 (LKSW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Connect the P8 forward recognition camera connector.
5. Connect the G20 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

   Result

REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 12/2021]
