DTC P0571-62: Brake Switch "A" Signal Compare Failure [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the stop light switch assembly connector.

   *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Stop Light Switch Assembly)

2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A40-2 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   A40-7 (B) - Body ground	Ignition switch off	11 to 14 V
   A40-6 (B) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V
   A40-6 (B) - Body ground	Ignition switch off	Below 1 V

4. Connect the stop light switch assembly connector.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Inspect the stop light switch assembly.

   Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the A29 and A31 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.
2. Disconnect the A40 stop light switch assembly connector.
3. Disconnect the A105 No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
4. Disconnect the M7 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
5. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A31-28 (ST1-) - A40-5 (L)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A29-7 (STP) - A40-3 (L)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A31-28 (ST1-) or A40-5 (L) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   A29-7 (STP) or A40-3 (L) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

6. Connect the M7 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
7. Connect the A105 No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
8. Connect the A40 stop light switch assembly connector.
9. Connect the A29 and A31 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

NG
