- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [12/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [10/2023 - ]
- REMOVE CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts and cam timing oil control solenoid assembly from the No. 2 timing chain cover assembly.NOTE:
If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Remove the O-ring from the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.NOTE:
- When removing the O-ring, be careful not to damage the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
- If the O-ring groove of the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly is damaged, replace the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly with a new one.
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the O-ring is necessary.
- Disconnect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly connector.
