  1. CHECK DISPLAY CHECK MODE 
    1. Check which items display on the signal check screen.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SWITCH (TRIP SWITCH) - PARKING ASSIST ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N76 panoramic view monitor switch (trip switch) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G37 parking assist ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G37-5 (D) - N76-15 (BLSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-5 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SWITCH (TRIP SWITCH) 

    Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SWITCH (TRIP SWITCH) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  4. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT 
    1. Check that the back-up light comes on.

      OK

      The back-up light comes on.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (EXT) 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2021 - 10/2023] , or refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2023 - 11/2024] , or refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2024 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the parking assist ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N76-7 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 11 to 14 V
      N76-7 (REV) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever not in R Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU
