DTC C1AE2-96: Ultrasonic Sensor (Front Left Center) Component Internal Failure [02/2019 - ]: Procedure

1. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2019 - ]

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Trouble Codes 

2. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2019 - ]

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Clear DTCs 

3. Recheck for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [02/2019 - ]

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Trouble Codes

   DTCs is not output	A
   Only DTC C1AE2-96 is output	B
   DTC C1AE2-96 and C1AE2-87 are output	C

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ]

GO TO DTC (C1AE2-87). Refer to  DTC C1AE2-87: Ultrasonic Sensor (Front Left Center) Missing Message [02/2019 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  DTC C1AE2-87: Ultrasonic Sensor (Front Left Center) Missing Message [10/2023 - ]

1. Replace the front center ultrasonic sensor (FLC sensor) with a known good one.

   Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

   HINT: 

   All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
