DTC P0AFC-62: Hybrid/EV Battery Sensor Module Signal Compare Failure [11/2018 - 08/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check and record any HV system DTCs and freeze frame data.
    5. Read output DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      "P0A95-63, P0AFC-00, P0AFC-96 or P308A-12" is not output. A
      "P0A95-63, P0AFC-00, P0AFC-96 or P308A-12" is also output. B
    6. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    GO TO DTC CHART (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM) 

    Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2018 - 06/2020] , or refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2020 - 08/2020]

    Result:

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the appropriate service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Remove the No. 1 hybrid battery exhaust duct.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [06/2020 - 08/2020]

    3. Remove the No. 1 HV battery shield panel.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]

    4. Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the battery voltage sensor.

      OK

      The connector is connected securely and there are no contact problems.

      Result

    5. Install the No. 1 HV battery shield panel.
    6. Install the No. 1 hybrid battery exhaust duct.

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]

    Result: 

    NG 

    CONNECT SECURELY
