Security Indicator Light Does not Blink [02/2019 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SECURITY INDICATOR) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Immobiliser or Main Body* / Active Test.
      1. *: w/ Theft Deterrent System
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Immobiliser > Active Test

      • Combination meter assembly (security indicator light) operation is not normal when performing the "Main Body" Active Test

      Combination meter assembly (security indicator light) operation is not normal when performing the "Main Body" and "Immobiliser"* Active Test D

  2. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT) OPERATION 
    1. When the immobiliser is set, check that the combination meter assembly (security indicator light) blinks.*1

      OK

      The combination meter assembly (security indicator light) blinks normally.

    2. When the theft deterrent system is in the arming preparation state, check that the combination meter assembly (security indicator light) is on.*2

      Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [10/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION [08/2020 - ]

      OK

      The combination meter assembly (security indicator light) is on.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Both *1 and *2 are OK A
      *1 is NG (*2 is OK) B
      *2 is NG (*1 is OK) C
      Both *1 and *2 are NG D

    Result: 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2018 - ] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - 10/2022] 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT) - TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly (security indicator light) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G44 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.*
      1. *: w/ Theft Deterrent System
    3. Disconnect the G52 transponder key ECU assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G52-8 (IND) - G19-7 (LP) Always Below 1 Ω
      G52-8 (IND) or G19-7 (LP) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly (security indicator light) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G44 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.*
      1. *: w/ Theft Deterrent System
    3. Disconnect the G52 transponder key ECU assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G44-7 (IND) - G19-7 (LP) Always Below 1 Ω
      G44-7 (IND) or G19-7 (LP) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)) 
    1. Disconnect the G19 combination meter assembly (security indicator light) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G44 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.*
      1. *: w/ Theft Deterrent System
    3. Disconnect the G52 transponder key ECU assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G44-7 (IND) - G19-7 (LP) Always Below 1 Ω
      G44-7 (IND) or G19-7 (LP) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT) - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
