Power Source Mode does not Change to ON (READY) [02/2019 - 06/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical or Powertrain / Immobiliser or Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Immobiliser > Trouble Codes 

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [02/2019 - ]

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (IMMOBILISER FUEL CUT STARTS) 
    1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List.
    2. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Data List

  3. CHECK WHETHER HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM STARTS 
    1. Check that the hybrid control system starts after the ignition switch was turned to ON.

      OK

      Hybrid control system starts normally.

  4. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (TERMINAL IMI AND IMO) 
    1. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Transponder Key ECU Assembly)
      *b Approximately 160 ms.
      *c Approximately 270 ms. *d Approximately 40 ms.

  5. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Register the communication ID between the transponder key ECU assembly and hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.

      Refer to REGISTRATION [02/2019 - 10/2022]

  6. CHECK WHETHER HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM STARTS 
    1. Check that the hybrid control system starts after the ignition switch was turned to ON.

      OK

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G52 transponder key ECU assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the A30 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G52-10 (EFII) - A30-23 (IMO) Always Below 1 Ω
      G52-11 (EFIO) - A30-10 (IMI) Always Below 1 Ω
      G52-10 (EFII) or A30-23 (IMO) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G52-11 (EFIO) or A30-10 (IMI) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  8. REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the transponder key ECU assembly with a new one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2019 - 08/2020]
