Removal [02/2019 - 08/2020]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2019 - 08/2020]

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2019 - 08/2020]

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2019 - 08/2020]

  5. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2019 - 08/2020]

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 10/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2019 - 06/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2020 - 08/2020]

  7. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2019 - 08/2020]

  8. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the fuel pressure sensor.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 fuel pressure sensor holder from the fuel delivery pipe.

    3. Remove the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel delivery pipe.

      NOTE:
      • Pull and remove the fuel pressure sensor in a straight line to avoid damaging the seal surface of the fuel delivery pipe O-ring.
      • After removing the fuel pressure sensor, remove any parts remaining on the fuel delivery pipe side.
