Daytime Running Light Circuit [10/2023 - 11/2024]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check the vehicle type.

  2. CHECK OPERATION (LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS) 
    1. Check the operation of the low beam headlights.

      OK

      The low beam headlights operate normally.

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the A62 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the A61 headlight assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the 4F instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A62-3 (B) - 4F-28 Always Below 1 Ω
      A61-3 (B) - 4F-28 Always Below 1 Ω
      A62-3 (B) or 4F-28 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A61-3 (B) or 4F-28 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. *1: Turn Light for LED Type
    2. *2: Turn Light for Bulb Type
    1. Disconnect the A98*1 or A99*2 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the A96*1 or A97*2 headlight assembly RH connector.
    3. Disconnect the 4F instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      HEADLIGHT FOR LED TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A98-7 (B) - 4F-28 Always Below 1 Ω
      A96-7 (B) - 4F-28 Always Below 1 Ω
      A98-7 (B) or 4F-28 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A96-7 (B) or 4F-28 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      HEADLIGHT FOR BULB TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A99-3 (B) - 4F-28 Always Below 1 Ω
      A97-3 (B) - 4F-28 Always Below 1 Ω
      A99-3 (B) or 4F-28 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  12. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4F-28 - A-25 (DRL) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

    1. Remove the DRL relay.
    2. Disconnect the A98 headlight assembly LH connector.
    3. Disconnect the A96 headlight assembly RH connector.
    4. Disconnect the B16 daytime running light assembly LH connector.
    5. Disconnect the B15 daytime running light assembly RH connector.
    6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (DRL relay) - A98-7 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      3 (DRL relay) or A96-7 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result
