DTC B162A: Side Airbag Sensor Assembly No. 2 (RH) [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch off.

   *1	Floor Side Airbag Sensor LH
   *2	Airbag ECU Assembly

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
3. Interchange the floor side airbag sensor RH with LH and connect the connectors to them.
4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
6. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2020 - ]

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

7. Turn the ignition switch off.
8. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
9. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2020 - ]

   Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Proceed to
   DTC B162A is output
   DTC B163A is output
   DTCs B162A and B163A are not output

   HINT: 

   Codes other than DTCs B162A and B163A may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

10. Turn the ignition switch off.
11. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
12. Return the floor side airbag sensor LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

Result: 

DTC B162A is output 

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ] 

Result: 

DTC B163A is output 

REPLACE FLOOR SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 12/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [12/2021 - 10/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ] 

Result: 

DTCs B162A and B163A are not output
