Removal [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. for Manual Seat:

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    2. for Power Seat:

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  4. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  8. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX (w/o Spare Tire) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  9. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    HINT: 

    Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH so that the center pillar lower garnish LH can be removed.

  14. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  15. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    HINT: 

    Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH so that the center pillar lower garnish LH and rear seat No. 3 side garnish LH can be removed.

  16. REMOVE OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  18. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  19. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  20. REMOVE TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET SET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  21. REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43

  22. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44

  23. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (w/ Woofer) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  24. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the claw and guide to remove the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Detach the clamp and disconnect the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly from the fuel lid lock control cable assembly.

  25. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER 
    1. Rotate the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer 90° clockwise and detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Rotate the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer a further 90° and detach the guide, then pull out the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    3. Detach the claw and remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.

  26. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Partially remove the floor carpet.

      HINT: 

      It is not necessary to fully remove the floor carpet. Partially remove it so that the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly can be removed.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
