Installation [11/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 2 exhaust pipe support bracket to the front frame assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 29 N.m (296 kgf/cm, 21 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Install the front lower arm bushing stopper to the front lower No. 1 suspension arm sub-assembly.
    2. Install the front lower No. 1 suspension arm sub-assembly to the front frame assembly with the 3 bolts and nut in the order shown in the illustration.

      Bolt (1), (2) 

      Torque: 200 N.m (2039 kgf/cm, 148 ft.lbf) 

      Bolt (3) 

      Torque: 135 N.m (1377 kgf/cm, 100 ft.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  3. INSTALL FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL RACK AND PINION POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [02/2019 - ]

  5. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR WITH BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [02/2019 - ]

  6. INSTALL FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) 
    1. Install the rear engine mounting insulator to the front frame assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 72 N.m (734 kgf/cm, 53 ft.lbf) 

    2. Install the front engine mounting insulator to the front frame assembly with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 72 N.m (734 kgf/cm, 53 ft.lbf) 

  7. INSTALL FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY (for AWD) 
    1. Install the rear engine mounting insulator to the front frame assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque: 72 N.m (734 kgf/cm, 53 ft.lbf) 

    2. Install the front engine mounting insulator to the front frame assembly with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 72 N.m (734 kgf/cm, 53 ft.lbf) 

  8. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [02/2019 - ]

  9. INSTALL STEERING GEAR HEAT INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2018 - 02/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [02/2019 - ]

  10. REMOVE ENGINE HANGERS 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [12/2021 - ]

  11. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY GUARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [12/2021 - ]

  12. INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2018 - 08/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2020 - 12/2021] , or refer to INSTALLATION [12/2021 - ]
