Customize Parameters [11/2018 - 10/2023]

  1. CUSTOMIZE POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM 

    HINT: 

    The following items can be customized.

    NOTE:
    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
    • Record the current settings before customizing.
    1. Customizing with the Techstream.
      1. Turn the power switch off.
      2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      4. Turn the Techstream on.
      5. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / PSD & PBD operation.
      6. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        PSD & PBD operation 

        Tester Display Description Default Setting ECU
        PBD SW Operation Function that turns the back door control switch on when a switch is pushed once or held down for 0.8 seconds. 0.8s 0:0.0s, 1:0.8s Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD Buzzer Function that changes the power back door buzzer setting. ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        Door Unlock with 1 Motion. Function that selects the door or doors to unlock when the back door is locked and the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key) is pushed to operate the power back door.*2 ALL DOORS 0:BackDoor, 1:ALL DOORS Multiplex network door ECU
        Wireless Power Back Door Open Function that operates the power back door by pushing the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly (electrical key). Lock:OFF/Unlock:0.8s 0000:"Lock:OFF/Unlock:OFF", 0001:"Lock:OFF/Unlock:ON", 0010:"Lock:OFF/Unlock:Twice", 0011:"Lock:OFF/Unlock:0.8s", 1010:"Lock:Twice/Unlock:Twice", 1011:"Lock:0.8s/Unl**cut** Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD Assist Open Operation Function that enables or disables the power back door assist open operation. When "PBD Assist Open Operation" is set to "ON" (enabled) the back door will open automatically when the back door opener switch assembly (opener switch) is operated. ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD/Emblem Sensor Function Function that enables/disables the power back door and rear emblem sensor assembly.*1 PBD ON/Emblem ON 00:PBD OFF/Emblem OFF, 01:PBD ON/Emblem OFF, 10:PBD ON/Emblem ON Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD Buzzer Volume Adjust Function that changes the volume setting of the power back door buzzer. Large 00:Small, 01:Middle, 10:Large Multiplex network door ECU
        Emblem Sensor Detection Sensitivity Function that changes the sensitivity of the rear emblem sensor assembly.*1 Low 00:Low, 01:Middle, 10:High Multiplex network door ECU
        Kick Sensor Function Function that enables/disables the hands free power back door.*3 ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        PBD Assist Close Operation Function that automatically fully closes the back door when a stopped back door is moved by hand in the closing direction. ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Multiplex network door ECU
        Power Back Door Opening Adjust Function that can be used to set the power back door opening angle at 6 different positions. 5:Max 000:"1:Min", 001:"2:Small", 010:"3:Middle", 011:"4:Large", 100:"5:Max", 111:User Setting Position Multiplex network door ECU
        Kick Sensor Operation with ACC ON Status of the hands free power back door function with power switch on (ACC).*3 Not Available 0:Available, 1:Not Available Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

        3. *2: The settings are enabled only when "Wireless Power Back Door Open" is set to "Lock: Twice" or "Lock: 0.8 s"

    2. Customizing with the combination meter assembly
      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      2. Enter the following menus: Settings.
      3. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        System Settings Function that enables or disables the power back door operation. On On or Off Multiplex network door ECU
        Kick Sensor* Function that can be used to set the hands free power back door. On On or Off Multiplex network door ECU
        Opening Adjustment Function that can be used to set the power back door opening angle at 6 different positions. 5 User Setting Position, 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 Multiplex network door ECU
        Volume Function that can be used to set the power back door buzzer volume. 3 3, 2 or 1 Multiplex network door ECU
