No. 2 Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit [02/2019 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Warning / Active Test.
    5. Check that the buzzer operates by performing the Active Test.

      Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Rear Buzzer No. 2 clearance warning buzzer OFF or ON Confirm that the vehicle is stopped and the power switch is on (IG)

      Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Active Test

      The No. 2 clearance warning buzzer sounds.

      NG

    Result:

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 2 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER) 
    1. Disconnect the G25*1 or H4*2 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.
      1. *1: for TMMC Made
      2. *2: for TMC Made
    2. Disconnect the M13 No. 2 clearance warning buzzer connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR TMMC MADE:

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G25-25 (BBZ) - M13-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G25-26 (ER) - M13-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G25-25 (BBZ) or M13-1 (Z+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G25-26 (ER) or M13-2 (Z-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      FOR TMC MADE:

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H4-25 (BBZ) - M13-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-26 (ER) - M13-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-25 (BBZ) or M13-1 (Z+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H4-26 (ER) or M13-2 (Z-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. REPLACE NO. 2 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER 
    1. Replace the No. 2 clearance warning buzzer with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - 11/2024]

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
