PERFORM UTILITY USING TECHSTREAM (GRILLE SHUTTER CONTROL MODE SWITCHING)

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the Techstream on.

Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Grille Shutter / Utility / Grille Shutter Control Mode Switching.

Body Electrical > Grille Shutter > Utility

Tester Display
Grille Shutter Control Mode Switching

According to the display on the Techstream, change the grille shutter control mode from normal mode to maintenance mode.

REPLACE SWING GRILLE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

Replace the swing grille actuator assembly.

PERFORM UTILITY USING TECHSTREAM (GRILLE SHUTTER CONTROL MODE SWITCHING AND GRILLE SHUTTER INITIALIZATION)

HINT:

When changing the grille shutter control mode and/or performing initialization by driving the vehicle, the grille shutter control mode can only be changed and initialization can only be performed if the grille shutter system is in maintenance mode.

Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2019 - 12/2021]

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

According to the display on the Techstream, perform Grille Shutter Initialization.

Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Grille Shutter / Data List / Shutter Control State and Shutter Initialization.

Shutter Initialization

According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List and check that the value of Shutter Control State is "Normal" and Shutter Initialization is "Complete".
