Rear Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction [10/2023 - 11/2024]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check Vehicle Type.

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

  4. INSPECT REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the rear seat inner belt assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear seat inner belt assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

      Result

    Result:

    REPLACE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N37 rear seat inner belt assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G19*1 or G141*2 combination meter assembly connector.
      1. *1: for 7 Inch Multi-information Display Type
      2. *2: for 12.3 Inch Multi-information Display Type
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR 7 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N37-5 (RBR+) - G19-35 (RRSB) Always Below 1 Ω
      N37-5 (RBR+) or G19-35 (RRSB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N37-4 (RBR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      FOR 12.3 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N37-5 (RBR+) - G141-30 (RRSB) Always Below 1 Ω
      N37-5 (RBR+) or G141-30 (RRSB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N37-4 (RBR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  7. INSPECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to

    Result:

    REPLACE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N38 rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G19*1 or G141*2 combination meter assembly connector.
      1. *1: for 7 Inch Multi-information Display Type
      2. *2: for 12.3 Inch Multi-information Display Type
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR 7 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N38-5 (LBR+) - G19-36 (RLSB) Always Below 1 Ω
      N38-5 (LBR+) or G19-36 (RLSB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N38-4 (LBR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      FOR 12.3 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N38-5 (LBR+) - G141-21 (RLSB) Always Below 1 Ω

  9. INSPECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

    2. Inspect the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [11/2018 - ]

      Result

    REPLACE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the N39 rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the G19*1 or G141*2 combination meter assembly connector.
      1. *1: for 7 Inch Multi-information Display Type
      2. *2: for 12.3 Inch Multi-information Display Type
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR 7 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE

      N39-4 (CBR+) - G19-19 (RCSB) Always Below 1 Ω
      N39-4 (CBR+) or G19-19 (RCSB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      FOR 12.3 INCH MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY TYPE
