Installation [11/2018 - 10/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
  2. INSTALL NO. 2 MULTI-MEDIA MODULE BRACKET 
    1. w/ Navigation System:
      1. Install the No. 2 multi-media module bracket with the 3 screws.

        Torque: 3.0 N.m (31 kgf/cm, 27 in.lbf) 

    2. w/o Navigation System, for Type B:
      1. Install the No. 2 multi-media module bracket with the screw.

        Torque: 3.0 N.m (31 kgf/cm, 27 in.lbf) 

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 MULTI-MEDIA MODULE BRACKET 
    1. w/ Navigation System:
      1. Install the No. 1 multi-media module bracket with the 3 screws.

        Torque: 3.0 N.m (31 kgf/cm, 27 in.lbf) 

    2. w/o Navigation System, for Type B:
      1. Install the No. 1 multi-media module bracket with the screw.

        Torque: 3.0 N.m (31 kgf/cm, 27 in.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL TELEPHONE ECU WIRE (TO TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. w/ Navigation System:
      1. Attach the clamp to install the telephone ECU wire (to transceiver).

      2. Connect the 2 connectors.
    2. w/o Navigation System:
      1. for Type A:
        1. Attach the clamp to install the telephone ECU wire (to transceiver).
        2. Connect the connector.

      2. for Type B:
        1. Attach the clamp to install the telephone ECU wire (to transceiver).
        2. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 NAVIGATION WIRE (w/ Navigation System) 
    1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 2 navigation wire.

    2. Connect the connector.
  6. INSTALL NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Navigation System:

      1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.
      2. Connect the 4 connectors.
    2. w/o Navigation System:
      1. for Type A:
        1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.
        2. Connect the 3 connectors.

      2. for Type B:
        1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.
        2. Connect the 3 connectors.

  7. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET (w/ Navigation System) 
    1. Connect the 2 connectors.
    2. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration, and then while bending the instrument panel safety pad assembly, attach the guide to temporarily install the DCM (telematics transceiver) with bracket.

      Place hand here
      Install in this Direction
    3. Attach the clamp and connect the 4 connectors.

      Bolt
      Connector
    4. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

  8. INSTALL DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET (w/o Navigation System) 
    1. for Type A:
      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Attach the guide to temporarily install the DCM (telematics transceiver) with bracket.

        Install in this Direction
      3. Attach the clamp and connect the 3 connectors.

      4. Install the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

    2. for Type B:
      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Attach the guide to temporarily install the DCM (telematics transceiver) with bracket.

        Install in this Direction
      3. Attach the clamp and connect the 3 connectors.

      4. Install the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf/cm, 9 ft.lbf) 

  9. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  10. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  11. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2018 - 12/2021]

  12. PERFORM DCM ACTIVATION 

    HINT: 

    After replacing the DCM (telematics transceiver), make sure to perform DCM activation.

  13. PERFORM REGISTRATION (w/ Smart Key System) 
    1. for Toyota Entune Remote Connect Compatible Type:

      HINT: 

      After replacing the DCM (telematics transceiver), make sure to perform code registration (Smart key System (for Start Function)).
