Engine Oil Level Sensor Circuit [08/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR 
    1. Remove the engine oil level sensor.

      for 2GR-FKS: Refer to REMOVAL [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

      for A25A-FKS: Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

    2. Inspect the engine oil level sensor.

      for 2GR-FKS: Refer to INSPECTION [04/2018 - ]

      for A25A-FKS: Refer to INSPECTION [08/2020 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR 

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to REMOVAL [04/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

    for A25A-FKS: Refer to REMOVAL [08/2020 - ]

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C34-1 - G16-27 (OILW) Always Below 1 Ω
      C34-1 or G16-27 (OILW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2020 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
