On-Vehicle Inspection [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT COOLING FAN SYSTEM 
    1. Radiator Fan 1 Side:
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the Techstream on.
      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / FC / Active Test / Radiator Fan 1

        Powertrain > FC > Active Test 

        Tester Display
        Radiator Fan 1
      5. Check the operation of the fan while operating it using the Techstream.

        OK

        Tester Operation Radiator Fan 1 Operation
        ON Cooling fans operate
        OFF Cooling fans stop

        If the cooling fan motor does not operate, check the cooling fan circuit.

        Refer to Cooling Fan Circuit [06/2015 - ] 

    2. Radiator Fan 2 Side:
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the Techstream on.
      4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / FC / Active Test / Radiator Fan 2

        Powertrain > FC > Active Test 

        Tester Display
        Radiator Fan 2
      5. Check the operation of the fan while operating it using the Techstream.

        OK

        Tester Operation Radiator Fan 2 Operation
        ON Cooling fans operate
        OFF Cooling fans stop

        If the cooling fan motor does not operate, check the cooling fan circuit.
