Operating Light Control Rheostat does not Change Light Brightness [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

   Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [06/2015 - 01/2018] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [01/2018 - 11/2018] , or refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2018 - ]

REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - 11/2018]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [11/2018 - ]

1. Remove the light control rheostat.

   Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

2. Inspect the light control rheostat.

   Refer to INSPECTION [06/2015 - ]

REPLACE LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

OK

1. Disconnect the G13 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the G12 light control rheostat.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G13-24 (TR) -G12-3 (UP)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G13-25 (TC) -G12-2 (DOWN)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G13-24 (TR) or G12-3 (UP) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G13-25 (SW3) or G12-2 (DOWN) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result
