Unable To Connect To Call Center [06/2015 - 01/2018]: Procedure

  1. CHECK COMMUNICATION SERVICE CONDITION 
    1. Move the vehicle.
      1. If the vehicle is outside the communication service area, move the vehicle to a communication service area, wait for a while and perform the operation again.

        OK

        Same problem does not occur.

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Perform "Health Check" and check for current DTCs.

      Refer to HEALTH CHECK [06/2015 - 01/2018]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2015 - 01/2018]

  3. CHECK PRL UPDATE 
    1. Check for PRL update.

      Refer to PRL UPDATE [06/2015 - 01/2018]

    2. Check if the same problem occurs again.

      OK

      Same problem does not occur.

    OK 

    END

  4. CHECK DCM OPERATION HISTORY 
    1. Check "DCM Operation History".

      Refer to DCM OPERATION HISTORY [06/2015 - ]

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Signal strength is weak (0 or 1) A
      Communication indicates "Fail"
      No problems with signal strength or communication B

      HINT: 

      If there was a communication problem in the past but the communications are working correctly now, it is possible that the source of the problem was temporary radio interference, or the vehicle may have been outside the service area.

  5. REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver).

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - 01/2018]

      NOTE:
      • The power switch must be off.
      • Do not swap the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.

  6. PERFORM PRL UPDATE 
    1. Perform "PRL UPDATE".
