DTC P0195-15: Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Short to Battery or Open [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING GTS (CHECK FOR OPEN IN WIRE HARNESS)
*1 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor *2 ECM *a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Engine Oil Temperature Sensor)- - - Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Connect terminals 1 (THEO) and 2 (E2) of the engine oil temperature sensor connector on the wire harness side.
- According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

Tester Display Engine Oil Temperature Sensor OK
GTS Display Specified Condition Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Higher than 170°C (338°F) Result
Proceed to OK NG
Result:
OK
REPLACE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

NG

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECM)
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
