| 1. Both of the following conditions are met | (a) and (b) |
| (a) Difference between the engine coolant temperature sensor and the outside air temperature at engine startup | Less than 20°C (68°F) |
| (b) Accumulated mass air flow | 2630 g or more |
| 2. Both of the following conditions are met | (c) and (d) |
| (c) Difference between the engine coolant temperature sensor and the outside air temperature at engine startup | 20°C (68°F) or higher |
| (d) Accumulated mass air flow | 5810 g or more |
