DTC P0710-15: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit Short to Battery or Open [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the C51 transmission wire connector.

   *a	Component without harness connected (Transmission Wire)

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C51-1 (OIL) - C51-2 (E2)	Always	79 Ω to 156 kΩ
   C51-1 (OIL) or C51-2 (E2) - Other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   HINT: 

   If the resistance is out of the specified range at any of the ATF temperatures shown in the table below, the driveability of the vehicle may decrease.

   ATF Temperature	Specified Condition
   10°C (50°F)	5 to 8 kΩ
   25°C (77°F)	2.5 to 4.5 kΩ
   110°C (230°F)	0.22 to 0.28 kΩ

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE (ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

1. Disconnect the C89 ECM connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C89-40 (THO1) - C89-41 (ETHO)	Always	79 Ω to 156 kΩ
   C89-40 (THO1) or C89-41 (ETHO) - Other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
