DTC C1AE2-96: Ultrasonic Sensor (Front Left Center) Component Internal Failure [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

1. According to the display on the GTS, check for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Trouble Codes 

2. According to the display on the GTS, clear the DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Clear DTCs 

3. Recheck for DTCs.

   Body Electrical > Clearance Warning > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   No DTCs are output	A
   Only DTC C1AE2-96 is output	B
   DTC C1AE2-96 and C1AE2-87 are output	C

Result:

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2019 - ]

GO TO DTC (C1AEC-287). Refer to  DTC C1AE2-87: Ultrasonic Sensor (Front Left Center) Missing Message [11/2023 - ]

1. Replace the front center ultrasonic sensor LH with a known good one.

   Refer to REMOVAL [11/2023 - ]

   HINT: 

   All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
