Removal [11/2023 - ]: Procedure

- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2022 - ]
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23
- REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR HOLDER WARNING:
To prevent serious injury due to fuel spray from the high-pressure fuel lines, always discharge fuel system pressure before removing any fuel system components.
- REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR
- Remove the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.NOTE:
- Pull and remove the fuel pressure sensor in a straight line to avoid damaging the seal surface of the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly O-ring.
- After removing the fuel pressure sensor, remove any O-ring and fuel injector back-up rings remaining on the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly side.
- Remove the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
