      1. Install a new gasket to the engine coolant temperature sensor.
      2. Using SST, install the engine coolant temperature sensor to the cylinder head sub-assembly.
        • SST: 09817-33191

        Torque: 19.6 N.m (200 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf)

        NOTE:

If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      3. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
  2. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD WITH INTERCOOLER ASSEMBLY

    HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for Cylinder Head Side) is necessary.

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - ]

*a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length *b Ball Joint Lock Nut Wrench
      1. Install a new gasket to the engine coolant temperature sensor.
      2. Using a ball joint lock nut wrench, install the engine coolant temperature sensor to the water inlet housing.

        Specified tightening torque

        Torque: 19.6 N.m (200 kgf/cm, 14 ft.lbf)

        NOTE:

If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

        HINT:

        • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

          Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2019 - 11/2023]

        • When using a ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)):

          10.2 N.m (104 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf)

      3. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
  4. CONNECT NO. 1 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER PIPE

    HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for Water Inlet Housing Side) is necessary.

    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

  5. CONNECT NO. 2 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER PIPE

    HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for Water Inlet Housing Side) is necessary.

    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

  6. CONNECT WIRE HARNESS

    HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for Water Inlet Housing Side) is necessary.

    Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

  7. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

    HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the engine coolant temperature sensor (for Water Inlet Housing Side) is necessary.

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2022 - 11/2023]
