Engine Oil Level Sensor Circuit [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR 

    for HV Model: Refer to INSPECTION [12/2019 - ]

    for Gasoline Model: Refer to INSPECTION [10/2022 - ]

    Result

    Proceed to
    OK
    NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR 

    for HV Model: Refer to REMOVAL [12/2019 - ]

    for Gasoline Model: Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the H112 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (for HV Model)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C34-1 (LVL) - H112-14 (OILW) Always Below 1 Ω
      C34-1 (LVL) or H112-14 (OILW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Standard Resistance (for Gasoline Model)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C34-1 (LOIL) - H112-14 (OILW) Always Below 1 Ω
      C34-1 (LOIL) or H112-14 (OILW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2019 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
