Removal [03/2019 - 09/2022]: Procedure

- SECURE VEHICLE
- Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
- REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws to remove the shift lock release button cover from the position indicator housing assembly.
*a Protective Tape NOTE:Be careful not to damage the shift lock release button cover and position indicator housing assembly.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws to remove the shift lock release button cover from the position indicator housing assembly.
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [01/2019 - 09/2022]
- DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE (for TMC Made)
- Move the shift lever to N.
- Disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the transmission floor shift assembly.
- Rotate the lock nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the lock nut in that position, disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the transmission floor shift assembly.
*a Counterclockwise NOTE:Do not forcibly pull the floor shift transmission control select cable into the cabin.
- DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE (for TMMMS Made)
- Move the shift lever to N.
- Disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the transmission floor shift assembly.
Disconnect in this Direction - Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the floor shift transmission control select cable.
*a Stopper NOTE:Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.
- Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the floor shift transmission control select cable from the transmission floor shift assembly.
*a Stopper *b Nut Disconnect in this Direction NOTE:- Do not rotate the nut excessively as the interior spring may come off and the floor shift transmission control select cable will not be reusable.
- Do not forcibly pull the floor shift transmission control select cable into the cabin.
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 4 bolts and separate the transmission floor shift assembly.
- Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.
- Disengage the 3 clamps to separate the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.
- Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.
- Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.
- Remove the transmission floor shift assembly.
- Remove the 4 bolts and separate the transmission floor shift assembly.
